New Batgirl for the screen is what all the auditioning agencies were working on for a long time. Warner Bros initially was looking for someone to play Barbara Gordon in Batgirl. Not only that, but they had a talented lineup in place already, but who is going to be the contender for the iconic role? Keep reading to know more.
“Batgirl” is reserved for a 2022-23 release, along with “Black Adam,” the “Shazam!” series, and movies based on Blue Beetle, Supergirl, the Green Lantern Corps, and Static Shock. Since only behind-the-camera staff have been announced, the film seems to still be in pre-production.

Nonetheless, she has also performed more adult roles in Transformers: The Last Knight and Sicario: Day of the Soldado.
Zoey Deutch#2
Next up on our likely Barbara Gordon list, we hold Zoey Deutch. She is an American actor and a producer too. You might most remember her face as that of Madison from Zombieland: She has also played major characters in Everybody Wants Some!!, The Politician, and also Set It Up.

This particular audition will decide who will play Barbara Gordon in this forthcoming live-action film in the Batman creation. We had Isabela Merced, Zoey Deutch, Leslie Grace Martinez, and Haley Lu Richardson up for the characters; The studio had no remark on the examination process till JULY 19th. After a complicated decision: Leslie Grace and Haley Lu Richardson Emerge as Contenders. The movie will bow on HBO Max, considering one of the first major DC features to bow exclusively on the streamer.
“Batgirl” will be directed by Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi, the directing duo behind “Bad Boys for Life,” one of the several box office smashes of pandemic-ravaged 2020. Christina Hodson (“The Flash”) penned the screenplay.
The Green Lantern or Peacemaker series will probably beat Batgirl to HBOMax. A Batgirl movie could work since she’s a fun, bright, likable character in the grim and mostly unpleasant world of Batman. However, she works best when next to a dour character like Batman, so you see the difference in their personalities (kind of like how fun-loving Tim Drake was next to Bruce Wayne).
